Motor repair specifications and motor shop assessments provide guidelines and evidence of whether specific motor shops should or should not be selected to repair motors for your company. Now that those items are in place it’s just a matter of periodically checking on the selected shops to determine by inspection (compliance audit) if you are getting what you require. To ensure you are getting what your specifications require, you should consider getting RLA to conduct an on-site audit at your preferred motor shops no later than one-year after the capability assessments were completed. RLA uses a specially designed audit form to accurately audit the selected motor shops. The compliance audits generally take one to two days at each motor shop. After completing the on-site work you will receive a detailed report of our findings, documented non-conformance issues, and recommendations for implementing corrective actions.
